The nearly sold-out exhibition space at a payments industry trade show next spring shows the growing influence of electronic payments in the marketplace.
The Electronic Transactions Association (ETA) reports that 85 percent of the floor space for exhibitors at the association's 2013 Annual Meeting and Expo has been sold well in advance of the event's April 30, 2013, start date.
Exhibitors will present their latest products and services at the expo's Mobile Pay Zone, a new feature of the event which takes place between April 30 and May 2, 2013, in New Orleans.
"Mobile payments are in a period of unprecedented innovation and represent incredible business opportunities for the entire electronic transactions industry," said Jason Oxman, the organization's CEO. "The 2013 ETA show is the ideal platform for getting business done."
ETA expects to have a total of 200 exhibitors at the event. More than 3,000 executives, experts and merchants in the electronics payment industry are projected to attend. Both established and emerging companies that provide ACH cards, prepaid debit and credit card payment options are among those planning to exhibit their products.
