The city of Alcoa, Tennessee, will receive help from collections agency Windham Professionals to spur the economy of Blount County, the Knoxville News Sentinel reports.
Windham - a collections agency that specializes in the educational, commercial, government and healthcare industries - plans to hire 125 employees within accounting, administrative, human resources and training professional departments in preparation for its opening on February 1. "We are excited about Windham Professionals' new location to Blount County," said Bryan Daniels, president and CEO of county development organization Blount Partnership, as quoted by WBIR-TV. "This is another solid addition to the community made possible by the city of Alcoa and Blount County, along with Governor Bill Haslam who is to be commended for his continued support of the ongoing business developments in Alcoa." The Salem, New Hampshire-based agency has five locations nationwide, including a facility in the Tennessee town of Hendersonville. The new location will open near the McGhee-Tyson Airport. WBIR-TV reports that the addition is part of Blount County's economic development program which has produced more than 1,000 jobs over the past year.
