Collections agency enforces positive values in employees
Being in debt is never an enjoyable experience. However, Witchia-Kansas-basted debt collection agency Account Recovery Specialsts (ARSI) is trying to rectify the industry's negative stigma, notes Kansas.com.
"This job just takes a certain kind of person," Kecia Kesler, co-owner of the agency, told the media outlet. "It's not a happy job all the time, so we're constantly working on ways to counteract that." Kesler adds that her company abides by strict ethics standards, has an ongoing employee retention effort, and reward staff with incentives, games and spot bonuses. The laid-back atmosphere does not impede on the company's ability to due diligent and effective work. Kesler explains to the news source that ARSI has only had one lawsuit in its 37-year history, which she attributes to its constant monitorization of changes in industry regulations. It also trains its staff before "turning them loose" on the telephones, and records all calls as a backup in case of any litigation. According to its homepage, ARSI also assists organizations within the community. In 2010 alone, the company donated a combined $26,000 to foundations such as the American Red Cross, Boys & Girls Clubs of America and The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
