Pest control owner in Wisconsin faces forgery, fraud and theft allegations
In Madison, Wisconsin, a man from Denmark who managed a pest control business is facing counts of felony theft, identity theft, forgery and fraud for allegedly overcharging a client on their credit card, Green Bay Press Gazette reports.
According to the news source, the state has issued a complaint against Kent Haluska from Denmark involving his employment in the Brown, Outagamie and Winnebago counties. One of the complaints issued reveals an Appleton apartment owner who sought Haluska to rid of a squirrel infestation in his attic. Haluska informed the apartment owner the job would cost around a couple hundred dollars, give or take. Haluska obtained the owner's credit card information to process the payment. Later, the owner noticed more than $7,000 was charged to his card by Haluska. "Outside of the a couple hundred dollars, he did not authorize any additional charges on that account," the plaintiff states, according to the news source. Haluska is scheduled to appear in court on Monday and Tuesday, and faces a number of similar allegations.
