A partnership of two organizations will present a session devoted to mobile payment strategies within the electronic payments industry for the first time.

Mobile Payments Innovations 2013 will be part of the pre-conference sessions planned at the start of the Electronic Transactions Association's (ETA) upcoming trade show, which takes place between April 30 and May 2, 2013 in New Orleans. The mobile payments workshop is an all-day event on April 30.

Organizers said the growing importance of mobile payments by ACH cards, debit and credit cards from smartphones and tablets has spurred the introduction of the new session, which is co-sponsored by ETA and Strategic Solutions Network. Mobile payment adoption by providers and merchants, the newest technology and business opportunities that lie within this segment of the electronic payments market will be among the topics explored.

"Mobile payments are in a period of unprecedented innovation and represent incredible business opportunities for the entire electronic transactions industry," said Jason Oxman, the organization's CEO.

For Mobile Payments Innovations, ETA has teamed up with Strategic Solutions Network, which conducts events such as webinars and conference workshops to promote mobile contactless payments. Telemarketing
