Consumers expect mobile engagement

As technology advances, consumers have begun to expect mobile engagement, so it would be wise for businesses to offer payment via ACH cards.
Noah Glass, founder of OLO, said mobile payments are becoming so popular among consumers that we will look back "10, maybe five, years from now and laugh that we used to stand in line to make a payment to someone who had to punch in an order," according to Retail Customer Experience.
When a business adopts this technology it needs to be wary about security, and partnering with the right company to ensure information is safe is essential.
"With this, you're dealing with PCI issues, security; you need to find the right partners," Tony Ventre, senior marketing strategist for restaurants at Heartland, told the news source. "You have to make a move because it's moving so fast. And it can build your business quickly, too."
According to a recent report from Forrester, U.S. mobile payments are expected to reach $90 billion by 2017, up from $12.8 billion in 2012. With that said, businesses would be smart to adopt this technology or they may fall behind their competition.
